Created in 2000, this video was a collaboration with the The Roots and Okayplayer.com, creating the premiere video for Dice Raw's debut album on MCA Records. The song was "The Thin Line between Raw and Jiggy", featuring Black Thought and Malik B.
The general idea was to create a hip-hop superhero universe informed by comics and anime. Dice Raw told us he just wanted the power to get fat. The rest is history.
The video was the first Flash-animated broadcast-quality video. The video played alongside Q-bert's Wavetwisters film at the Resfest film festival, at SXSW and the Oberhausen Short Film Festival. At Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria, the video received an Honorary Mention for Computer Graphics.
