A street photography project shot in NYC’s Lower East Side, near the Essex Market, on July 21, 2012, with Fabrizio Chiesa, as part of MELD’s Inside Out : Be the Change project.
Inside Out was a worldwide participatory art project where photographers took photographic portraits of people on the streets. Inside Out then printed the photos on large format paper, redistributing them to teams around the world who pasted them onto city walls.
The Inside Out project was connected to JR’s public street art works and his win of the TED prize in 2011.
This slideshow shows my portraits from the shoot; please check Fabrizio’s website below to see his shots.
To Corinne Weber and Yvonne Senouf of Meld, for putting together this worldwide action, Gina Steffe for managing the NYC shoots, Rina Bliss and Nick Simonds for help on the shoot.
